game of thrones the game revealed

Well, ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 may be over, and the internet may still be buzzing about that massive finale and all of the ramifications that will come of it, but HBO is well aware that fans are not going to be happy about the long wait until the final season finally airs in (hopefully) late 2018. To help us bide our time, and give us some insight into how the show runners managed to craft this past season, HBO is releasing a new behind the scenes series detailing the making of Season 7 of ‘Game of Thrones’ which is titled ‘The Game Revealed.’

The series will have 7 parts to compliment the seven episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ this season, with each one focusing on one of the episodes and how it was made, the first one which has already been released (which you can check out below) talking about the making of the first episode of Season 7, ‘Dragonstone.’ ‘The Game Revealed’ will be available on all of HBO’s usual platforms (HBO Go, HBO Now, HBO On Demand and affiliate portals) and with any luck will also make it onto HBO’s YouTube Channel for ‘Game of Thrones’ (as the first episode did) so everyone can check them out every Monday when they are released. Granted, it is only a making-of series, and it may not help that much since there are only going to be 7 of them which will not even carry us for 2 months before ‘The Game Revealed’ is over, but at least it will help.

If current rumors are true and it takes HBO until the end of 2018, early 2019 to get the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ ready, we could indeed be in for a long wait (though it would be cool to actually watch ‘Game of Thrones’ in winter time, because, you know, “Winter Is Here”). Still, I for one am willing to wait if it means a quality end to the show because we have seen far too many lackluster endings to television shows, and ‘Game of Thrones’ has earned more faith than that, and I think they have the potential to really go out with a bang.

Regardless, check out the first episode of ‘The Game Revealed’ below, and share your thoughts on the new behind-the-scenes series in the comments below!
