The Defenders

‘The Defenders’ are coming – and audiences are ready to see the mega-team-up that’s been years in the works at Netflix.  The streaming content provider has been working closely with Marvel to bring the small-screen superheros together – and now we’ve been given a cool teaser video, starring and narrated by none other than “The Man” himself, legendary Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee.

Odds are good that audiences will see more ‘Defenders’ material at this weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, especially with Marvel hosting several panels throughout the weekend – and the ever-evolving propensity for theatrical info-releases at the annual SDCC event.

Here’s the teaser video for you:

Set a few months after the events of the second season of ‘Daredevil,’ and a month after the events of ‘Iron Fist,’ the vigilantes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up in New York City to fight a common enemy: The Hand.

Oh, and about that spiffy new poster at the top of this article?  It’s a new release for SDCC as well:

In the official San Diego Comic-Con poster for Marvel’s The Defenders, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) present a united, color-coded front as they stand side-by-side, protecting the sprawling New York City behind them.

Marvel’s The Defenders premieres globally on Netflix on August 18, 2017, at 12:01am PT.
