We’ve seen a previous trailer for ‘War for the Planet of the Apes‘ feature narration from an old recording by Charlton Heston and in the latest video we have speech and footage from animal rights activist Jane Goodall featured front and center to announce a unique partnership between her Institute and Fox Studios.

In honor of the upcoming release of “War for the Planet of the Apes,’ 20th Century Fox has partnered with the Jane Goodall Institute to provide care for rescued chimpanzees, many of whom are victims of the illegal commercial bushmeat and pet trades. Housed and cared for on three forested island sanctuary sites and a mainland sanctuary site at the Institute’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in Republic of Congo, nearly 150 chimpanzees will benefit from this partnership. Housing on Tchindzoulou Island for rehabilitated chimps will be named “Caesar’s Home”, after the movie’s simian hero.

Below is the trailer announcement of the partnership simply titled “Compassion.”

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar, and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

It is interesting to see 20th Century Fox team up Goodall’s foundation and try to show compassion for all living beings while also featuring the two species who are at war with one another.

Are you looking forward to ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’? Do you feel that Goodall’s foundation was the right partner for a film which has put the Apes and Humanity at odds with one another? Share your thoughts below!
