agents-of-shield

Today ABC has given us the fantastic news that Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ would be returning for a fifth season! With the super inhumanly powered Aida on the lose, her Russian LMD controlled by a severed head no longer under her control with his own agenda, the return of Ghost Rider, and who knows what other characters may spring forth from the Framework into the real world – there is far too many plot points to have everything wrapped up in another episode. Thankfully, any carry over will now have a follow up next year!

The show itself took to Twitter and Facebook with the following little show of emotion:

Depending on how things work out we might not just see Fitz and Simmons working through their relationship woes but Coulson and May as well. Of course, will this May have the same set of feelings as her doppelganger did is another question entirely.

Of course, we don’t even know if all of our favorite agents will survive the upcoming episode. There will be quite a bit at stake, and death might be the kind of shake up that the series needs to use in order to show it. Who knows what might happen with Aida’s human printing technology though, if it isn’t lost forever, we could see any of the beings from the Framework still show up.

Who knows, some of them may have already been transferred over, and we won’t find out until the final cut before the season comes to a close.

Are you stoked to hear that Agent Coulson and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be returning for another season? How much of it will be new missions compared to fallout from the current season? Will Ghost Rider continue to be on the show? Which character(s) from the framework would you like to see come back to life? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

The season 4 finale of Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will premiere on Tuesday at 10:00 PM ET on ABC.
