Star Wars The Last Jedi

With this week’s ‘Star Wars Celebration,’ there will likely be confirmation one way or another on all of the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ rumors that have been popping up lately, and we have a new one to add to the mix concerning Poe Dameron and Laura Dern’s unknown character! Of course, this is a rumor so can be taken with a grain of salt or leeched onto as you see fit. With a full trailer coming soon, I suspect we’ll learn which side of the war Dern will be on though how she’ll factor in will likely remain a mystery until the film’s release.

While a rumor, this could also be a spoiler, so I’ll give you a moment to turn back

Previously rumors hinted that Dern’s character would have an “antagonistic exchange of words” with Poe and that she has some kind of a leadership role in The Resistance though doesn’t entirely agree with General Leia Organa’s way of leading. So how does the latest rumor factor into this theory? First off, it provides a name for her character which is Admiral Holdo. She is being described as the “antithesis of Leia’s new general look” with a regal gown, cape, “metallic braces” on her wrists, and will be rocking pink hair.

This look could be a callback to the outfits and styles from the prequel trilogy as we all know that with fashion that it gets recycled every so often. While the admiral isn’t the biggest fan of Poe or how Leia runs things, she does seem to have access to some massive new vehicles which will be called in to go up against Supreme Leader Snoke’s Mega Destroyer which is said to dwarf the Super Star Destroyers that we’ve previously seen and will be the home base for The First Order. This will clearly win her support.

It appears that support for her involvement is “divided” as most likely don’t seem to agree with how she wants things run but know that her ships will be a necessity.

On Poe’s end of the spectrum, we’ll see that he has a modified X-Wing that is faster and does more damage, but with BB-8 out with Finn, it seems like we’ll have a “rusty and old” almost “steampunk” BB that is helping him out.

Do you think Poe Dameron and Admiral Holdo will be able to bury the hatchet and work together against The First Order or will their disagreements on The Resistance cause infighting that splinters the war for peace in a galaxy far far away? Share your thoughts below!
