stranger things season 1

In a weird source for spoilers, we’ve learned from the composers of ‘Stranger Things‘ that the second season will spend quite a bit more time in The Upside Down than the first. Netflix hasn’t revealed too much about the show quite yet with Halloween still pretty far off so it was a bit surprising that composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein shared this little tidbit.

According to Dixon:

“There are new characters, fun, and the upside-down will be more of a place—you’ll spend more time. So we’ll make a lot more weird music this time around.”

The first season had it as a background area, so I’m excited to see how it will play a more important role in this 9-episode run. While the composers didn’t exactly give out any solid plot details, there are plenty of theories we can come up with on why we would see more of this area and possibly other inhabitants that dwell there.

We know that the unstable connection between our world and The Upside Down still existed at the end of the first season though I’m wondering how we’ll see it play out here. They might find the path through the forest, Eleven may open one for them, or the government experiments could tear an even bigger hole into the fabric of reality.

Unfortunately, it is still a few months away until we can find out.
