In a recent interview, ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’ star Kevin Sorbo was beyond excited to talk about his upcoming guest-star stint on The CW’s ‘Supergirl’ – including unleashing a little-known fact about his previous near run-in with DC Comics fame.

At the Directors Guild of America Awards ceremony, Sorbo said in an interview that his time working on ‘Supergirl’ is to begin very soon:

“I leave next week! I’m heading up to Vancouver, and I’ll be doing a three-show arc, and Teri Hatcher’s playing my wife. [My character is] from another planet that’s an arch-rival planet of Krypton – which is now of course destroyed.”

The fact that he and Hatcher are working together on a DC Super-project is a bit of a “near miss” for Sorbo, who also mentioned that he was actually cast to play Superman opposite Hatcher in the 1990s TV show ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.’  As Sorbo tells it:

“Way back in 1993, I actually booked ‘Lois and Clark,’ and 24 hours later they canceled me and put in Dean Cain. But three months later, I got ‘Hercules,’ so I was okay with it.”

There is no specific word yet on when Sorbo and Hatcher’s trio of episodes will air, but we will keep you posted as we learn more details!

‘Supergirl’ is currently airing on Mondays at 8pm on The CW.
