With the release of the second season of Netflix’s smash hit ‘Stranger Things‘ on the horizon, an image of the trailer which is dropping during the Super Bowl has been released! This image is all kinds of perfection for fans of the 80s set series as it shows Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, and Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas all outside of Hawkins Middle School during Halloween and their costume of choice is the Ghostbusters!
How perfectly 80s genre fitting right there. With ‘Ghostbusters’ having been released on June 8th of the year, these are the exact kids who would be wanting to wear their costumes!

It should probably be noted that Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers is not among his friends in this image.
They, of course, didn’t share any details of what we can expect from the new season or even a release date as of yet but Executive Producer Shawn Levy (‘Arrival’) did drop this one little nugget:
“The Demogorgon was destroyed but evil wasn’t.”
Not too surprising as if there was no evil it is doubtful that a full second season pickup would be in order. Still, we’ll hopefully be finding more this Sunday when the trailer drops. We’ll be sharing that on the site once it does arrive. While I doubt all of our questions will be answered, chances are the day we need to take off of work to binge watch the entire season and some of the plot points will finally be revealed.
