It seems as though Ryan Gosling is continuing to make all the right moves in Hollywood these days, as he has just come off of one hit movie with ‘La La Land,’ a film which just scored 7 Golden Globe nominations including one for Gosling for acting (not to mention a SAG nomination he also received), and he and director Damien Chazelle are now making bold plans for the future. They are looking onwards and upwards, literally, as their next project together is going to be adapting the book ‘First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong’ by James Hansen, with the script being written by Josh Singer, the man who co-wrote the script for ‘Spotlight.’ Gosling has been interested in the project since 2015 but it was not until recently that deals were at last finalized, and really, who could think of a better actor to play the part, he even kind of looks like Neil Armstrong.

The book focuses on the story of Armstrong’s life post WWII, mainly in the years of 1961 – 1969 as NASA and the nation began to focus on the mission of landing a man on the moon, and how Armstrong went from a hotshot Navy pilot during the war, to a test pilot in the 1950s, to the first man to step foot on the moon. It definitely sounds like a winner in my book, and if ‘La La Land’ is any indication then Gosling and Chazelle are the right duo to get this story right. They are looking to start shooting the epic story next year, so hopefully we can expect to see it in theaters sometime in 2018. Does this sound like a movie you would be interested in seeing?
