If you’ve been dying to see more of the new King Kong and his home then you’ll be thrilled at the new ‘Kong: Skull Island‘ trailer which was just released. Legendary and Warner Brothers have big plans for Kong as they are set to pit him against Godzilla from the 2014 Gareth Edwards rebooted film in the near future. Specifically, in ‘Kong vs. Godzilla‘ which is being set for a 2020 release. Before they get ahead of themselves though with pitting giant monsters against one another they need for the new take on King Kong to be a huge hit, as huge as the monster itself which appears to be roughly Godzilla-sized.

The new trailer popped up on Jimmy Kimmel Live when Tom Hiddleston made an appearance and you can check out the trailer below:

This one is implying a bit more humor than the first trailer and is something that might just make the leading characters more likable and actually have us care what happens to them. As it will be unlikely that they’ll either all survive or return for a future installment, I’m not sure how much that truly matters but I’m curious to see it play out either way.
