It’s hardly news to point out that ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ managed to raise as many questions as it answered, ranging from the mundane (“What’s up with C-3PO’s arm?”) to the pressing (“So who are Rey’s parents?”). Many of these answers are, of course, being saved for future films, but some are already coming, courtesy of the various tie-in novels and games.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment released a trailer today to showcase the latest DLC pack for ‘Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. Titled ‘Poe’s Quest for Survival’, the brand-new level pack takes players through the off-screen adventures of Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Taking place during ‘The Force Awakens’, these levels finally reveal exactly what Poe was doing while he was presumed dead after fleeing the Star Destroyer with Finn early in the film. This sort of effort to fill in the gaps of the larger ‘Star Wars’ narrative is nothing new for the game, which also includes material dedicated to bridging the thirty year gap between ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’.

The trailer itself (which you can check out below) offers out first glimpse at Poe’s time stranded on Jakku. Needless to say, it also features a good deal of the Lego games’ trademark tongue in cheek humor

The events of ‘Poe’s Quest for Survival’ were never touched on in ‘The Force Awakens’, in large part because Poe was originally intended to have died in the TIE Fighter crash on Jakku. It was only after Abrams and LucasFilm saw what Oscar Isaac brought to the role that the character’s survival was written into the latter half of the film.

Both ‘Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and the ‘Poe’s Quest for Survival’ DLC pack are available now for all current gaming platforms.

Are there any other gaps you’d like to see future DLC packs fill? Let us know in the comments!
