Following the massive success of the print version of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, it has become clear that Pottermania is still as strong as ever!  With the upcoming release of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, Warner Brothers is planning to release all of the ‘Harry Potter’ movies for an IMAX marathon event.

The announcement came from IMAX’s Twitter account:

The event kicks off on October 13 but times and dates for each screening will vary depending on location.  You can check out show times and buy tickets via IMAX’s website.  There are four ticket options: Single Ticket; Day Access (admittance to three or more shows in a single day); Four-Show Access (admittance to four shows any time, any day); and Festival Access (unlimited admittance throughout the event).  Like showtimes, the price of the passes will vary by location.

Attendees on the first day will be treated to a never-before-seen reel of ‘Fantastic Beasts’ footage.  For fans in two large cities, an even more special event will take place on the same kickoff date.  In LA and London, cast members will appear for an exclusive Q&A!

It should be noted that this will be the first time that ‘The Sorcerer’s Stone’ and ‘Chamber of Secrets’ will EVER be seen on IMAX.

And while this is a wonderful opportunity for fans to revisit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the hope is that this will stir up a frenzy for WB’s upcoming ‘Fantastic Beasts’ which the studio hopes will launch a new franchise to replace the completed ‘Potter’ saga.

Will you be attending?  Do you want to see all eight movies?  Or do you have particular favorites?

‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, David Chester, Samantha Morton, Carmen Ejogo, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Colin Farrell breaks out of it’s cage on November 18, 2016.
