When everyone’s favorite SSR agent returns to the airwaves next week in the second season of ‘Agent Carter’, a lot of new things are in store for Hayley Attwell’s beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe character. Not only will she be on a new mission, but Peggy will be on a new coast, in a new city, and meeting new people (both good and bad). However, it seems like she’ll be up to her old tricks as she does whatever it takes to close this case.
Earlier this week, we learned that the fan favorite ABC series would connect to the upcoming Phase Three film ‘Doctor Strange’ thanks to Isodyne Energy and the mysterious negative energy known as Darkforce. Now we get a sneak peek at the company courtesy of a new clip from the first episode. Titled ‘The Lady in the Lake’, this preview follows Agent Carter and Chief Daniel Sousa as they attempt to enter Isodyne without a warrant. But due to Peggy’s quick thinking and Sousa’s irresistible charm, they get to where they’re trying to go. You can check it out below, followed by the official synopsis of this season:
Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’ returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home – and perhaps even a new love – she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
Though we all talk about how badass Peggy Carter is, this clip reminds us of the moments in the show that are just really fun. It’s good to see some of that trademark MCU balance of drama and comedy alive and well in the second run of ‘Agent Carter’.
