‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ star Jennifer Lawrence is currently appearing in ‘Joy’, a biographical drama about the woman that invented the Miracle Mop and became a self-made millionaire. In the film, her character is seen utilizing home shopping television to sell her products with great success. Well, it looks like everyone’s favorite Merc with a Mouth might have gotten some inspiration from his fellow X-Man when it came time to promote the latest tie-in to his upcoming feature film.

Though the 12 Days of Deadpool are over, Ryan Reynolds has donned the red and black suit and once again seamlessly slipped into the persona of Wade Wilson in order to give fans a new treat ahead of the new year. In an attempt to sell copies, the star of Tim Miller’s long-awaited and highly anticipated movie has put together an infomercial to tout all the awesomeness contained within the February issue of Empire Magazine. You can check it out below courtesy of the actor’s YouTube channel, followed by the official synopsis of the film:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, ‘Deadpool’ tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

For all the terrible things that Fox has done with the X-Men franchise in the past, ‘Deadpool’ is certainly making up for it. This whole marketing campaign is 100% true to the character and his comics. February cannot come soon enough.

What do you think about this infomercial for the new issue of Empire featuring a massive preview of ‘Deadpool’? Do you think that the studio’s marketing department it knocking it out of the park with this one? Sound off in the comments.

‘Deadpool’ starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Gina Carano, and Ed Skrein hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
