For anyone who has bought and listened to the epic score for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ they are well aware that John Williams really stepped up his game for the latest entry in the ‘Star Wars’ saga, the man really seems to have outdone himself. While I recommend anyone who is a fan of the galaxy far, far away to go out and buy the full score, the track in question for this article is titled ‘Snoke,’ which is the theme music for the dark character pulling the strings of Kyle Ren and the First Order in the film. What fans have realized is that the theme for Snoke is incredibly similar to music heard during ‘Revenge of the Sith’ when Palpaltine is talking to Anakin at the opera house about the story of Plagueis the Wise, the Sith Master to Darth Sidious, who apparently learned the secrets to conquering death. While sources have it that Plagueis was killed by Sidious during his assent to Emperor-hood, fans are now speculating that Snoke might after all be the infamous Sith Lord, who may or may not have been responsible for conceiving the “chosen one” of the Force, Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. But do not take my word for it, listen to the tracks yourself to make your decision.

Here’s the track from ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ called ‘Palpaltine’s Teachings’ where he speaks of Plagueis The Wise, his master:

And here’s the track titled ‘Snoke’ from ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’:

It is downright eerie how similar the tracks actually are, and I am definitely buying more and more into this theory after having intensely listened to these tracks. Perhaps by the time of ‘The Force Awakens’ Plagueis has moved so far beyond the teachings of the Sith that he is starting his own order (The First Order?) and has taken a new name to commemorate his ascension, Snoke.

What are your thoughts and the whole Snoke is Plagueis theory? Would Disney/Lucasfilm really have allowed John Williams to drop such an obvious hint? Or it is a huge coincidence? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments below!
