It’s an early Christmas for fellow fans of ‘The Expanse‘! While last night Syfy aired the second episode of the series, the network has now released the first four both on Syfy.com and On Demand! That’s right, you can jump forward 2 full episodes which are set to premiere on December 22nd and 29th, respectively, and get an even further start on the show. A bit of a double edged sword as you’ll now be waiting 3 weeks for a new episode, but if you’ve been loving the series as much as I have it might be too hard to resist the temptation.

George R.R. Martin has called this 10-part season “a real kickass spaceship show, done right” and if you’ve been watching, there is no doubt on why comparisons to both ‘Battlestar Galactica‘ and ‘Game of Thrones‘ have been popping up. The first episode has been “sampled 4.4 million times* during its November 23 to December 14 run on Syfy.com, On Demand platforms and numerous digital outlets” and the response has been phenomenal! If you’ve been waiting for more proof that Syfy has finally returned to its roots then the wait is over with how fun of a ride the show has been so far.

According to Syfy’s Senior Vice President, Brand and Strategic Marketing Sara Moscowitz:

“By giving viewers the opportunity to watch Episodes 3 and 4 early, we’re not only providing a little holiday gift for the series’ existing fans, but we’re also allowing new viewers who’ve heard about THE EXPANSE to catch up on the series. With the potential to hook a broad audience over the holidays, we hope to debut Episode 5 to a committed, passionate fan base on January 5.”

I’ve clearly been loving the series so far and can’t wait to check out more. I’m hoping this move will get some more eyes on the show from potential fans as this is a series that is absolutely worth the watch.
