The thought of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in ‘Suicide Squad‘ may seem to be a perfect fit for her but the actress almost ended up on Marvel’s roster instead of DC’s. To be clear, she almost ended up on Fox’s Marvel Roster and not on the mutant side of things.

It appears that prior to being cast as the once main squeeze of the Clown Prince of Crime that she was actually up for Susan Storm in ‘Fantastic Four‘. Even if the movie hadn’t tanked, I would honestly say with how far apart these two roles are that Robbie is probably more of a fitting persona to play little miss crazy than Reed Richard’s better half to be.

You have to admit, though, that this was seriously a lucky break on not getting that part.

Robbie revealed in a recent interview with The New York Daily News that she was up for it the role of the Invisible Woman before it was given to Kate Mara:

“I didn’t really resonate with the script, and I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t really know how it turned out different from the page. But I had a great meeting with the director [Trank] and I really enjoyed that. I guess it’s part of the game: Sometime you win some, sometimes you lose some.”

With the not so rave reviews that have come in on ‘Fantastic Four’ so far and the general consensus of it not being all that great, I think we can all agree that she won out here. We’ll know that for sure when we see how ‘Suicide Squad’ translates to the big screen when its released.
