With the Season 2 premiere of ‘The Flash‘ approaching quickly (no pun intended of course), it is high time we start getting details and rumors from their camp regarding what we can expect for the sophomore season of the super-hero drama. And for now, based on a newly released image from the show, it seems we can expect the original Flash Jay Garrick to make an appearance during the first few episodes of the season, which certainly presents a lot of exciting possibilities. Check out the first image of Jay Garrick’s costume below, where the show attempts to recreate a classic comic book cover, which might give hints at what is coming.

In that comic, while experimenting with his ability to phase through solid objects, Barry Allen accidentally phases through dimensions, ending up on a parallel Earth where he met his hero Jay Garrick, who was the flash in the comics when Barry was growing up. On the show, speculation has it that attempting to shut down the wormhole above Central City might be what either sends Barry to a parallel Earth or brings Garrick to the Flash’s earth, as we had already seen Garrick’s helmet appear when Wells and Barry were activating the Speed Force. And with the rumors that a new mentor was going to be coaching Barry in the first few episodes of the season and helping him activate new powers, it only stands to reason that Jay Garrick himself will be that mentor, propelling Barry to become a better Flash, especially now that “Dr. Wells” aka Eobard Thawne has been erased from the timeline and will no longer be there to give Barry his pep-talks.

What are your thoughts on seeing two Flashes this season? Will Garrick’s old-fashioned costume fit in the world created on ‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow?’ Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
