In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the man in charge of the MCU’s television shows, Jeph Loeb, had the following to say in regards to crossovers between ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ and ‘Daredevil’ :

“Without giving anything away, they’re in the same area. In some cases they are in the same neighborhood. One of the things that is important to us is, when you enter the police station, it’s the same police station. When you go to the hospital, you start to see the same people. [But] we don’t want people suddenly going, ‘Wait, is that Matt Murdock that’s walking down the street?’ Because that’s going to feel odd, and in a weird way feel false.”

If you think about the build-up to ‘The Avengers’ on the big screen, they technically did not cross-over into each other’s films either, meaning we did not see the members of the team all together until the actual ‘Avengers’ film, and it felt all the more satisfying for it. (Not counting Black Widow who appeared in ‘Iron Man 2’ or Hawkeye who appeared in ‘Thor’). So the idea that we will not actually see Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones on screen together until the ‘Defenders’ makes sense, though at least we know we will most likely see Luke Cage and Jessica Jones together, as he ties directly into her story.

And the locations being similar means we will get a lot of Easter Eggs, and allow characters like Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple to make appearances in both shows, which would be welcome as we definitely did not get enough of the Night Nurse during Season 1 of ‘Daredevil.’

What are your thoughts on how Marvel is handling the cross-overs on their Netflix TV shows? Would you rather see Matt Murdock appear in ‘Jessica Jones’ as her lawyer as the source comics have it? Let us known your opinion in the comments below!
