Regardless of what you may have thought about the last season of ‘Arrow’ on The CW, it’s hard not to get behind Oliver Queen. John Diggle, Laurel Lance, Thea Queen, and the rest of Team Arrow can attest to that. That’s why they have stuck around Starling City to keep the peace while he drives up the coast with Felicity Smoak. But the former vigilante is coming back to his hometown as a completely changed person and fans in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con got a sneak peek.

During DC’s television panel on Saturday night, star Stephen Amell entered Hall H to introduce the ‘Arrow’ portion of the evening by appearing in character as the Emerald Archer with a few new upgrades to his uniform. The actor gave a rousing speech fit for a general rallying the troops before battle. Throughout the monologue, Amell… I mean, Queen dropped some new details for the upcoming season such as a name change for both his city and his superhero persona. You can see watch the introduction in the video below:

Following that insanely awesome introduction, Amell was joined Geoff Johns, the show’s executive producers, and co-stars Paul Blackthorne, David Ramsey, Emily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, Willa Holland, and John Barrowman to talk about the direction that the upcoming season will be taking. Of course, they talk about the new Green Arrow costume, Oliver and Felicity’s budding romance, the villains terrorizing Star City, and much more. By the sounds of things, big changes are coming to ‘Arrow’ next season and hopefully they are for the better, especially in regards to the storytelling. All that aside, we’re looking forward to seeing how Oliver evolves into the Green Arrow. But until the show returns to The CW, what do you think about the changes on the horizon for Team Arrow?
