Everyone knows Chris Pratt‘s Owen Grady is the focal character of ‘Jurassic World’, the revival of the groundbreaking franchise that originated in 1993, but like in the first three movies, expect the juvenile cast to factor in heavily and share the spotlight. In ‘Jurassic World’, Nick Robinson plays Zach Mitchell while Ty Simpkins portrays his younger brother Gray.  The brothers are the nephews of Bryce Dallas Howard‘s character Claire Dearing.  Mitchell is best known for the TV movie ‘Kings of Summer’ and has played Ryder Scanlon on the sitcom ‘Melissa & Joey’ for the past five years.  Simpkins should be familiar to genre fans as the young lead in the ‘Insidious’ movies and his pivotal role as Harley, the aspiring inventor who aids Tony Stark in ‘Iron Man 3’.

The two actors visited ‘The Today Show’ and brought with them a clip of their characters exploring the ‘Jurassic World’ theme park in a gyroscope.  They spy a pack of Ankylosauruses only to discover a more dangerous attraction.

The new movie takes place 22 years after the first, with a functioning park similar to the one planned in the original before it went haywire.  But now, the park has become common and unexciting, so scientists cook up a horrific new dinosaur to pique interest, Indominous Rex.  But there’s be no movie if that plan worked out as it was intended.
