We have a slew of new images and details for ‘Jurassic World‘ from Entertainment Weekly’s Summer Movie Preview to share with you today. My favorite part of the new images is some great new shots of dinosaurs that aren’t just Chris Pratt‘s raptors. Don’t worry though Pratt fans, there is a new shot of them in here too. Aside from the new promo shots we’ve also got some juicy new details from director Colin Trevorrow on what we can expect from the film!

Speaking of Pratt, one of the larger set of human interactions in the film will be between his take on Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing. Dearing is the park’s operation’s manager and the interaction between the two is more than a little rocky right off the start as according to Trevorrow “They don’t like each other at all, and by the end that’s changed, we think that [classic conceit] absolutely can apply to a dinosaur movie.”

There will also be a throwback to how the Tyrannosaurus Rex was introduced in ‘Jurassic Park‘ as well as a few to the original film as according to Trevorrow, “We have seen that we will repeat our mistakes if there’s money on the table, it’s not about the danger of playing God. These animals are real, and they’re on our planet.”

The trailers have already shown us that one way to traveling within the park is to use giant spheres and there should be a pretty hair raising scene with them as the director reveals, “There’s a ride at the park that allows you to get into a gyroscopic sphere and be out in the wild with dinosaurs and travel beneath them—and that goes horribly wrong. Imagine being inside a sphere and then suddenly it breaks and you’re rolling like a cat with a ball of yarn.”

I love the idea of the gyroscopic spheres being used to get around the park. What I really love, though, is the idea of someone making them to be the future of bumper cars. I’m sure these things have to have some kind of built in fail safe as to not actually run into a dinosaur but what happens when things go wrong as mentioned above I wonder?
