As May 1st draws closer, it seems that a day unlike any other when Earth’s mightiest heroes must unite against a common threat once more. Joss Whedon will follow up his epic 2012 superhero blockbuster with ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ this summer and we’ll get to see the likes of Hawkeye, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and Captain America assemble on the big screen again. Although, we did get to see the whole team in one place earlier this week when the first official poster was released. But now it appears that each Avenger is getting the spotlight to themselves as the character posters for each team member rolls out.

In typical Tony Stark fashion, Robert Downey Jr. was the first to unveil the poster for his character. The actor took to his Twitter to show off the Iron Man character poster, which looks considerably less photoshopped than his last few posters. You can check it out below:

Following RDJ’s lead, fellow Science Bro Mark Ruffalo shared the solo poster for the incredible Hulk on his Twitter. As usual, the Jade Giant doesn’t look too pleased, but you can see for yourself right here:

And finally, considering that he has a few connections as the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Samuel L. Jackson was given the authority to release three posters on his Twitter. Or it’s more likely that Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth don’t have official Twitter accounts, but either way, here’s the posters for Nick Fury, Black Widow, and Thor:

Not only did we get a few new posters for the upcoming Phase Two film, but we were teased with something bigger as well. In Downey’s tweet, he mentioned a “big announcement” in eight days. The smart money would say that a new trailer is coming next Thursday, but I think that we’ll get to see our first official look at the Vision when Paul Bettany tweets out his character poster on that day. Of course, Marvel Studios is known for some pretty epic surprises, so we can’t really know for sure what this announcement is until it arrives. Until then, here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
