There has been a lot of news swirling around as of late that Hugh Jackman was only going to be reprising the role of Wolverine in two more films. While some say it has been a long enough run for the most overused mutant in the Marvel universe, others would argue that he is the most iconic character and needs to be in the films. Of course given enough time, motivation, and most likely swimming pools full of money, anyone can have a change of heart. In a recent interview at the premiere of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ though, it sounds like Jackman’s thoughts on hanging up the claws might no longer be in his near future. He apparently not only had a lot of fun making the film, but it boosted his healing factor back in for wanting to do more! The exact quote?

“At one point, you’re right, I said I was pretty sure. But I’m less sure as it goes along. Because after seeing this movie, the whole thing feels fresher to me than ever. And during this movie…I don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s kind of like a clean slate, so who knows where it’s going to go. As long as I have the passion for it, and the fans will have me.”

Of course the fans want you. Even those of us who are sick of Marvel (and now Fox) overusing Wolverine to death will mostly agree that Jackmn makes an amazing Logan and we want to see more of him on screen. As long as they do the films right, of course, and we don’t get another ‘X-Men: Origins Wolverine’ mess. Or, better yet, lets stop with the solo Wolverine movies unless they can figure out how to do them and just make a ton of smaller X-Men movies back to back.

So I’m on the fence on this one. I love the idea of Jackman as Wolverine, but I would just like them to have less solo films with him (which haven’t been making me happy) and more group films. We’ll see how it plays out though.

Speaking of the X-Men, we do have a bonus treat for you! It is a 9 minute piece of behind-the-scenes footage from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. In it you can see a few glimpes of various shots, character dialogue, and more!

Not too spoilery either which with the film having already premiered in other countries it could easily have been.
