As one of the main villains in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ we haven’t heard much lately about Electro since the New Year’s Eve trailer had been released aside from a brief clip of him speaking with Harry Osborn. Don’t get me wrong, while there have been plenty of pictures, clips, trailers, and featurettes shown off about his skills, recently none have really had a focus on the original villain of the film. It would almost be refreshing to see if we haven’t already seen most of the film in early footage at this point.

Anyway, here’s a featurette focusing on Foxx as Electro:

While I am tired of the marketing for this film already (I’m sure you couldn’t tell), I do have to say I’m looking forward to seeing the big fight scene between Spider-Man and Electro. From all of the early clips that we’ve had a chance to see so far, it appears to be the most well done. Hopefully that translates properly to the big screen and we’re in for a visual treat. For those who haven’t seen it are you more excited about Jamie Foxx’s performance as Electro now than you were previously? Share your thoughts below!

Synopsis:

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ hits theaters on May 2, 2014. Andrew Garfield is back as Peter Parker, along with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro, along with Dane DeHann as Harry Osborn. The film also features Sally Field and Chris Cooper.
