A new clip from ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘ premiered during last night’s MTV Movie Awards and if you missed it, we have it here for you to see!

In a cute bit to introduce the clip, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx appeared in a taped segment where they call on Geek Squad/Host Conan O’Brien to help Garfield when he forgets the password to his laptop where the clip is saved:

Loved the teasing that was done regarding the very British Garfield and the nod to 1D!

After the intro, the clip was played which featured Spidey facing off against Electro in Times Square.  The scene is from the tail end of Spider-Man’s first meeting with Electro and gives an incredible display of how our favorite web slinger’s Spider-Sense works. The filming technique is very Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes-esque with the slow motion panning of the situation before Spider-Man springs into action.

Check out the clip below followed by the film’s synopsis:

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important conflict has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that his greatest battle is about to begin. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Yes, this film will be one that many fans will be watching! Will ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ be able to bring in the box office numbers like ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ has? Will the sequel live up to the hype? We have less than 3 weeks to find out and you know we’ll be watching!

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ opens May 2.
