If there was any doubt that Bryan Singer belongs in the ‘X-Men’ franchise, then this trailer for ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ should alleviate those fears. After what seemed to be an eternity, we finally get a good look at what we can expect when the film is released in May!
For those who have read the original ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ comic arc from the 80s, you know it is a massive storyline of epic proportions. From the panning of a war torn future to the voice over of Patrick Stewart, the trailer has set the stage and tone for the X-Men to change the course of their future. Best of all, ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ seems to have been able to incorporate what was on the printed page to the big screen Marvel-ously!
While already excited about film from the first trailer, this one blows it away with the amount of new footage! There is no shortage of fan favorite mutants making an appearance here. There’s the future and past Xavier (Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy), as well as the future and past Magneto (Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Storm (Halle Berry), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Blink (Fan Bingbing), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Bishop (Omar Sy) to name a few. We also get to see Peter Dinklage as Boliver Task convincing the world we need a new weapon to fight the mutants. Best part of it all? We get a first good look at the Sentinels in action!
