Things are falling apart as First Born has driven Apollo, who had usurped Olympus for himself, to commit “suicide” rather than give over control to this new found god.  Apollo’s twin, Artemis doesn’t fare any better against this newly powerful god, nor does Wonder Woman, who still doesn’t embrace her legacy as the new God of War.

In order to defeat First Born, Wonder Woman is going to need an army, which Hera supplies.

This issue, thankfully resolves one of the ongoing “problems” that has plagued this book, so that’s good.  Actually, a couple of storylines come to a head in this issue, so that’s all good as well.  Things come to a head and other things get flipped around… it all works out ultimately, while also leaving room for further development.

Cliff Chiang’s art is fantastic as always.

All in all, though this issue was a little slow, a lot was revealed and a lot more was set up for future issues, so it actually ended up being a pretty important issue.
