Back in 2011, the Fantastic Four celebrated their 50th anniversary. In 2012, Spider-Man celebrated his 50th. Then in 2013, the Avengers and the X-Men both hit that landmark number. Now, Marvel Comics as a whole is celebrating their 75th year in 2014. ‘Marvel Comics’ #1 hit newsstands in 1939 and ever since then, the House of Ideas has been delivering excellent stories featuring some of the most beloved superheroes on the planet. To commemorate this year long occasion, Marvel has recently released a trailer detailing the various things that the company plans on unrolling as the year goes on.

Marvel.com premiered a special trailer earlier this week narrated by Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso that detailed the sort of things that the company would be sharing during their anniversary year, including “extensive articles, exciting videos, in-depth podcasts and more!” You can check out that trailer below:

It’s interesting to note that Jessica Jones is included in the list of heroes that Alonso named in the trailer. Pretty much everyone he named is a major player in some way, including Ms. Jones’ husband Luke Cage, who currently leads the Mighty Avengers. Besides the upcoming Netflix show that will focus on the former teen hero known as Jewel, she hasn’t done much field work lately as she has been very busy being a mother. Could this all change in 2014? Will Jessica Jones be playing a bigger role in the Marvel Universe moving forward? I don’t have any answers for you, but hopefully we’ll have some soon.
