I’m going to bury the lead on this one and start off with the less spoiler-y new images from ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ which give good views of The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), as well as Cap (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson).

You can check them out below.  After that, prepare for SPOILERS.

One thing I’d like to point out, is that in the previously released trailers, we’ve seen Chris Evans in a costume inspired by this one, worn by Captain America following the ‘Civil War’ storyline.  So I’m curious as to the two images depicting Cap wearing a suit that looks like the one from the first movie.  Guess we’ll have to wait and see how that plays out in the movie.

Now as to the BIG scoop! Take this with a grain of salt, but a rumor has now surfaced regarding the post-credit (or possibly mid-credit) scene that these movies are famous for.  In the past, these scenes have been used to tease the very idea that Marvel was building  toward ‘The Avengers’ to simply being humorous add-ons like the Schwarma clip from ‘The Avengers’ or the psychiatry clip from ‘Iron Man 3’.

So what could possibly be teased in ‘The Winter Soldier’?  SPOILERS!

Considering that there have been some test screenings of the film, word is starting to surface that this film will tease ‘Avengers: The Age of Ultron‘ which is due next year and has begun filming.  It sounds like they went ahead and filmed a scene to be added to Cap, featuring the big screen debuts of… Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch!  If this is the case, and it sounds completely plausible, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff will actually zoom onto the big screen before Evan Peters’ take in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘, which I don’t think anyone saw coming.

Considering that many are panning Peters’ look, which debuted on a variant cover of ‘Empire’ magazine, the fact that the characters in the ‘Avengers’ movies more closely resemble their comic book counterparts, will this development fuel the negativity directed at the character’s look in the Bryan Singer mutant sequel?

A source reported:

“They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men.”
Elizabeth Olsen plays Quicksilver’s twin sister the Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff, but the character wasn’t included in ‘Days of Future Past’.

Does this make you even more excited about ‘The Winter Soldier’?  Are you excited to get a sneak peak at these mutant heroes (if this rumor turns out to be true)?
