With how much we keep hearing about ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘, it’s amazing how little we’ve heard about Falcon. We’ve seen information on Crossbones, Batroc the Leaper, Black Widow and have seen a ton of shots that have included The Winter Soldier, but what of Cap’s new best friend?
While we don’t know for sure if Anthony Mackie’s (‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter‘,’Real Steel’) portrayal of Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, will lead him to once again be Captain America’s best friend, but chances are they will. They, at the very least, get along rather well. As Chris Evans has said:
“Meeting [Anthony] Mackie’s character, he used to serve, now he works at the VA counseling guys who come home with PTSD — they connect on that level. I think they’re both wounded warriors who don’t bleed on other people. Cap has no one to bleed on. I think Mackie knows how to handle people like that. … Sometimes when things are bad, trusting a stranger is the way to go.”
Which is the perfect way for Steve to not only meet Sam but be able to develop their friendship. Check out the image below:
While clearly something action filled is about to happen, thankfully that’s not the only image of the upcoming movie we have to share! We have two very different views of Steve Rogers in various states. One with him all suited up and sitting around with another in casual street-wear and his shield looking to be ready for battle!
Sitting in uniform makes a bit of sense because according to Evans he’s “been more hurt on this movie than I ever have. [I’ve haven’t] “broken a bone, but you get hurt. There was a bunch of fight sequences on this movie where you’re like, ‘Wow, I just destroyed my knee today doing the same roll four or five times,’ but nothing that ice and Advil can’t fix, I suppose.”
Well at the very least that should help him stay in character but hopefully it doesn’t make him want to hang up the shield like a certain actor who wants to hang up the armor (at least on his solo films.)
How do you feel on how Steve and Sam will be introduced to one another? Does it make sense on how their friendship can form or bond?
