Last night’s ‘Doctor Who’ episode left fans with a new face in the TARDIS, but if you are still not ready to say goodbye to the 11th Doctor (or the 12th face of the Doctor – according to recent explanation),  BBC America has released these videos that will make Matt Smith fans weep some more.

If you watched ‘The Time of the Doctor’, you’ll recall that when Clara first sees the Doctor he’s naked in the TARDIS. (And yes, the fact that she took her sweet time to turn around was noticed. As Jackie Tyler said in ‘The Christmas Invasion’, “Is there anything else he has 2 of?”) In this brief deleted scene below, Clara explains why she dislikes Christmas as well as how much she missed the Doctor despite the fact that his holographic clothes doesn’t erase the fact that he’s still walking around naked.

The clip is a reminder of the endearing repartee that the Doctor and Clara have ever since Clara was introduced in ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ and makes you realize just how well the two fit together.  Check it out below:

‘The Time of the Doctor’ did leave fans with a new face, but if the transformation into Peter Capaldi’s Doctor seemed a bit abrupt and left you emotionally lacking, then grab a hanky as this 12 minute behind the scenes video of Smith’s last days as the Doctor will surely bring a tear to your eye.

The video chronicles the making of the episode and has some really great trivia but it’s not until the table read of ‘The Time of the Doctor’ and you hear the catch in Smith’s voice do you realize that an end of a short era has arrived. From there, we see Smith filming his last scenes with tearful goodbyes and, of course, Steven Moffat presenting Smith with a special Christmas present.

With that, just like the girl who waited, Whovians will be waiting another 8-9 months before our once Raggedy Man returns to grace our TV screens.

What did you think of ‘The Time of the Doctor’? Did you wish for a regeneration more like 10’s departure or were you satisfied with what we saw?
