Since the announcement of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’, many actors and actresses have been rumored to return. From original cast members like Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford to franchise newcomers like Benedict Cumberbatch, Saoirse Ronan, and Daniel Day-Lewis, there has been a lot of buzz about who will be appearing in J.J. Abrams’ first film in a brand new trilogy from a galaxy far, far away. But now, it looks like someone accidentally spilled the beans about their involvement.

According to Film Buff Online, the man behind the golden droid Anthony Daniels may have let slip at New York Comic Con that he’ll be returning to the franchise to maintain his record in all the ‘Star Wars’ films and make it a seven out of seven appearances. Here’s an excerpt from the report:

“Walls have ears. And we know what they look like. They’re very big ears…” the man inside the C-3P0 costume stated as to why he wouldn’t be speaking at all about the impending sequel while at the same time pantomiming a set of Mickey Mouse ears… However, towards the end of the panel, Daniels was asked about being the only actor who appeared in all six episodes of the franchise and “maybe seven?”

“Yes, I am the only actor to be in all seven because I feel -” Daniels replied before catching himself. “Six! Whatever.” He then went on to pantomime a call back to his “big ears” comment from the start of the panel.

From the sound of things, it just sounded like he misspoke, but you never really know when it comes to the legendary George Lucas film series. C-3PO could easily make a return and fans would surely welcome him back with open arms, but for now, let’s just take this as an accidental slip of the tongue. Or, you know, let’s read into this as much as possible and hope that the neurotic droid makes a comeback.
