Because of the massive outcry from fans (and the creation of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ by Joss Whedon), Coulson lives! But what if the one who almost sent everyone’s favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to the grave came back to finish the job? Judging by Tom Hiddleston’s comments, that could be a real possibility.

While we learned recently that Loki will not be showing up to cause trouble in ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’, the beloved actor revealed that he’d love to bring the God of Mischief to ABC in Marvel’s upcoming series. He’s even talked to Whedon about it already! During a panel on scholarly drama and documentaries for PBS at the Television Critics Association, Hiddleston briefly addressed the notion of Loki popping up outside of Asgard again to cause trouble for Coulson’s new team:

“It would be something that would depend upon script and story but yeah, of course. I’ve spoken to [Joss Whedon] about it. I saw him down in San Diego. I hear it’s good fun.”

I doubt there’s many people in the world who don’t want to see that happen, but the next time that we’ll definitely see Hiddleston don the horned helmet of Loki again is in ‘Thor: The Dark World’ in November. But the notion of more cast members from ‘The Avengers’ appearing on the show is a fun one to play around with for now.

With Clark Gregg and Cobie Smulders reprising their roles from last year’s massively successful film featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, who else would you like to see show up on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’? Does Loki top your list? What about Nick Fury or Hawkeye? Share your picks in the comments below.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg premieres on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 8:00pm on ABC.
