Even though the third installment of the ‘Men In Black’ series was drowned out by the likes of ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ last summer, the film still had an impressive showing globally. In fact, the studio was happy enough with the results that they’ve started to work on a fourth. Oren Uziel was recently recruited to pen ‘Men In Black 4’ as well as the rewrite to ’21 Jump Street 2’. However, while the script is in the works, the film’s main star may not be onboard just yet.

According to an interview with Collider for his latest film ‘After Earth’, Will Smith revealed that he might have had enough of the black suits and black Ray Bans. The former Fresh Prince hasn’t ruled out his involvement in the project just yet, but he definitely sounds like he’s ready to move on:

“I think three is enough for me. Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that.”

This would be a hard blow to Sony considering that he is one of the main draws, if not THE main draw for the ‘Men In Black’ films. No matter how critics rate them, fans all over the world will still come out to see Will Smith in a sci-fi comedy based on the $625 million ‘MIB3’ took in at the box office. Also, with ‘After Earth’ not making the splash that the studio had hoped, maybe the actor would reconsider moving on from ‘Men In Black’. Or maybe he’s more interested in the sequels to ‘Independence Day’ that have been talked about recently. Who really knows?!

Do you think Sony will even continue moving forward with ‘Men In Black 4’ if Will Smith is not involved? If they do, will you still go out to theaters to see it? And what would a new MIB be like without Agent J? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments.
