When it rains, it pours! In just a short 24 hours, a bunch of new promotional material has been released for James Mangold’s upcoming film ‘The Wolverine’. We’ve gotten a bit of everything today to show us a little bit of what Logan is up against in the follow up to ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’. Not only do we have some new stills from the movie and a couple of new posters, but there’s also teaser from the director himself!

First up are the stills. Entertainment Weekly exclusively released eight new photos featuring Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, and our hero, Hugh Jackman. A few of these photos seem to be from the funeral that we shared set photos from about six months back. You can see these pictures in the gallery below:

Next are the posters. Total Film shares these two new posters featuring Wolverine in a not so happy mood. In the first one, he’s surrounded by a swarm of ninjas, and in the second one, he’s sporting an angry look in front of a Japanese city. While the second one looks all right, I’m not too sure who gave the go ahead to release the first one. It looks like a pretty bad Photoshop job, reminiscent of Gavin Hood’s film featuring the fan-favorite member of the X-Men. I thought that we were all trying to distance ourselves from that one. Regardless, you can see the new posters below:

Finally, director James Mangold tweeted a special six-second teaser for ‘The Wolverine’. Along with this tweet, came the promise of a twenty-second teaser tomorrow and a full trailer on Wednesday. You can check out the “tweaser”, as Mangold calls it, in the tweet below:

At this point, I’ve watched this teaser numerous times and I think I spotted a familiar face from the original X-Men trilogy. If you blink, you’ll miss it, but I’m pretty sure that I saw a quick shot of Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey getting awfully close with a certain James Howlett. Did you see it? Am I crazy?

That’s a whole lot of Wolverine for one day and there’s even more to come later in the week. But until we get that stuff, let us know what you think of all of this stuff. Are you psyched after seeing those new stills? Do you think the posters could be better? How cool did you think that teaser was? Share your thoughts in the usual spot.

‘The Wolverine’, directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, and Svetlana Khodchenkova, opens in theaters on July 26, 2013.
