It’s a smart move for HBO to ride the fan wave and release awesome trailer after incrementally more awesome trailer to hype up the buzz around the Season 3 premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ airing on HBO on March 31.

Season 3 is based on roughly the first half of the third book of the series, ‘A Storm of Swords,’ and these trailers are sure to lead TV show fans to believe the book was aptly named. The seeds of the coming clash of kings planted in Season 2 will soon bear bloody fruit, as each of the now-four kings vy for the throne. (RIP, Renly! We hardly knew ye.)

Some viewers are up in arms about the cognitive dissonance caused by these recently released trailers, arguing that a mostly medieval fantasy setting is no place for the thumping and futuristic beats of Daft Punk. The first trailer of the three includes the song ‘The Game Has Changed’ from the film ‘TRON: Legacy,’ and the other two trailers include an equally futuristic soundtrack. One could argue, however, that the use of Florence and the Machine’s ‘Seven Devils’ in the Season 2 ‘Game of Thrones’ promotional trailer was nothing if not thrilling. Anachronistic or not, it can’t be argued that the epic trailer music does much to aid in our collective and frothing anticipation for Season 3.

Choose your preferred length of trailer below, from 30 seconds, to 60, to 90. The trailers understandably have some similar shots, but each has special excerpts not included in its two companions, so watch all three and raise your banners in anticipation of the season premiere.

Season 3 of ‘Game of Thrones’ airs on Sundays on HBO starting March 31.
