Early last month, we finally got the first bit of promotional material for the upcoming season of HBO’s hit show, ‘Game of Thrones’, that featured new footage of the cast. It started with the “Chaos” teaser, which led to the full-fledged trailer featuring actual footage from the season. At long last we got to see characters like Jon Snow, Joffrey Baratheon, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and more in action! Well, now we’ve been gifted with an even longer look as an extended version of the trailer has recently hit the web.

You can check out the expanded version of the first trailer, which features a good bit of stuff we’ve already seen, but there are a few new scenes and new pieces of dialogue here and there. Watch the new trailer below, followed by the synopsis of the first episode:

Episode #21: Jon is brought before Mance Ryder, the King Beyond the Wall, while the Night’s Watch survivors retreat south. In King’s Landing, Tyrion asks for his reward, Littlefinger offers Sansa a way out, and Cersei hosts a dinner for the royal family. Arya runs into the Brotherhood Without Banners. Dany sails into Slaver’s Bay. (Written by David Benioff & D.B. Weiss; directed by Daniel Minahan)

That’s not all we have for you right now though. In addition to the new extended trailer, a collection of posters has been released as well featuring representatives from the various houses of Westeros. You get a little bit of everything in this gallery, as there are Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryens appearing in these latest posters. Check out all twelve below:

The blue that they use in the posters reminds me of ‘Avatar’, so I’m hoping there’s no crossover with James Cameron planned for this season. Aside from that, these heroes (or villains, depending on how you look at them) are coming out of the shadows and are growing ever closer to appearing on your television screens.

What do you think of the new trailer and the posters? Are you more excited for the new season to finally arrive at the end of the month? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

The new season of ‘Game of Thrones’ begins on March 31st at 9:00pm on HBO.
