The last time we saw an incarnation of the Huntress on live-action television was on the short-lived WB series ‘Birds of Prey’ from 2002. Now, the heroine will be making an appearance on the new hit CW superhero drama ‘Arrow’ as Jessica De Gouw dons the mask of the Huntress alongside Oliver Queen’s bow-wielding alter ego vigilante to protect Starling City.

Here’s a synopsis of the episode, which airs on December 5th:

As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Helena (guest star Jessica De Gouw) grow closer, Oliver trains her to be his ally, complete with showing her how to use a crossbow. Diggle (David Ramsey) disapproves of Oliver sharing his secret with Helena as he’s not sure she can be trusted, but Oliver refuses to listen to his concerns. Helena’s quest for revenge proves to be too strong for Oliver to handle after she kills the head of the Triad and all hell breaks loose.

Thanks to the CW network, we can take a look at some new promotional photos they released for episode 1×8 of ‘Arrow’ titled ‘Vendetta’, where we see the two heroes team up for the first time. Check them out below:

So what do you think of the Huntress’ new look? Let us know in the comments below and make sure you return as we’ll have a recap of the episode of her appearance once it airs in 2 weeks!

Starring Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, and Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer of the DC Universe, ‘Arrow’ airs on The CW on Wednesdays at 8:00pm.

I cannot wait to see this week’s episode and December 5th episode. I think they both look so good, and I am so excited to see the romance between the Huntress and Oliver. I didn’t really think I would like this show, but a co-worker from DISH convinced me to check it out. Now I have been watching it every week on my DISH Hopper. I have so many other shows on Wednesday nights that having the Hopper allows me not to worry about any DVR conflicts, since I can record up to six shows at once. I think it is awesome how they tie in the DC characters into Oliver’s life. They always are connected to him somehow, and I think that is awesome.
