As further proof of Facebook’s dominance, some of Marvel’s most iconic characters will be on the site in the new combat RPG, ‘Marvel: Avengers Alliance.’ Disney is behind the game; the company owns Marvel, and the game is from Disney Interactive Media Group’s Playdom studios, which has made many popular online Flash games.

In ‘Marvel: Avengers Alliance,’ you play as a new agent of S.H.I.E.L.D in a story created just for the game. “The Pulse” is a galaxy-wide disaster and leaves Manhattan vulnerable to attack from dangerous villains like Loki, Magneto and the Red Skull. Your mission is to gather and lead teams of superheroes to protect the city and its innocent citizens. Heroes in the game include Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow. Once you have a team, you train them, making them stronger by unlocking abilities and customizing stats. Players will be able to play against each other during PvP battles.

The game should be available to play for free on Facebook soon. For more information, you can visit the game’s Facebook page.
