MJ Krey

MJ’s first contact with science fiction was as a 5 year old being dragged to Close Encounters of the Third Kind by his parents in 1977. He fell asleep. His only recollection of the film was the lights from the alien ship coming up over the horizon. His interest in Sci-Fi would not awaken until the following summer when Star Wars was re-released. His love of science fiction literature began with finding the book Third Planet from Altair by Edward Packard in his school library in the third grade. In 1985, after reading an article in the children’s magazine 3 2 1 Contact about mutants, he begged his mom to buy him a comic book. She relented and came home with Uncanny X-men #197. That book blew his mind and changed his life forever afterward. MJ currently lives somewhere in the northwoods of Wisconsin with his two dogs.
