You can finally stream ‘The Boys’ on Amazon Prime this Friday, July 26th, 2019 and to celebrate the streaming service has released the final trailer for the series. While “people love that cozy feeling that superheroes give them, but if you knew half of the things they are up to…diabolical. Time to declare war!” The concept has always been that we’ll be seeing a show where superheroes literally get away with murder and a group of individuals has been put together to stop them. This trailer is giving a better look at how that all comes together.

Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher is in charge of putting ‘The Boys’ together and most of this trailer we get a spotlight on Jack Quaid’s Hughie whose girlfriend is killed by Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train. We’ll later see insult added to injury as the “hero” claims that it was actually Hughie’s girlfriend’s fault for her death from carelessly walking into the street.

The idea for this team is to “spank the bastards” by doing whatever it takes to stop them.

Things are slightly swapped from the comics as Erin Moriarty’s Starlight is the newest recruit to this team of superheroes and believes in doing the right thing, unlike what everyone else involved is doing. Hughie uses her as a way in, but it quickly becomes apparent that he doesn’t feel that she deserves the same fate as the others.

Amazon is loving not only the early press for the film but has enjoyed the first season enough to greenlight a second season before it has even premiered.

Supes have been committing atrocities, which keep getting swept under the rug because they are revered by the adoring public. Billy Butcher recruits The Boys who have all been wronged by The Seven, the world’s most notorious superheroes, to bring them down and stop the corruption. Based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis, The Boys is a revenge story where the nobodies take on the somebodies.
