The Arrowverse is evolving, as ‘Arrow’ is coming back for its final ten episodes this fall, minus Emily Bett Rickards, who has played Felicity Smoak since the show started. In February word surfaced that Carlos Valdes was contemplating leaving ‘The Flash’ to explore “other pastures.” Valdes started off on the stage, so it would not be a huge shock if he wanted to return to live performance. And Season 5 ended with Cisco taking the metahuman cure so that he could live a normal life. Does that mean a life away from Team Flash?
But rest assured, Cisco Ramon isn’t going anywhere. At SDCC, Valdes address the rumors, saying:
“I’m not leaving the show this season. I know everybody here is wondering, I know. I see that look on your face. I’m not leaving the show. I love these guys. These guys love me, clearly. I love being in the room with these guys. I’m not leaving anytime soon.”
So whatever happens in Season 6, expect Cisco to be around.
Shortly after the rumor that Valdes might be leaving, word surfaced that Danielle Panabaker was also contemplating exiting ‘The Flash’. She has not made a statement, but she made her directing debut last season, and her character, Caitlyn Snow/Killer Frost has been shown as being present in footage from Season 6, and Killer Frost has even been given a new costume. So it sounds unlikely that Caitlyn is going anywhere.

As for what the future holds for ‘The Flash’, the first half of the season will be involved with setting up the massive ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ crossover this winter. Three episodes will air in December with two being held for January. It was also revealed at SDCC that Sendhil Ramamurthy will join the cast as this season’s Big Bad, Bloodwork.
‘The Flash’ returns for its sixth season at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 8.
