We’re back at it again with a freshly baked all-new Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you!
This week we’ve got some exciting new items that are like nothing we’ve ever seen before, including a strange new LEGO set, a gigantic super articulated ape, and a very early holiday specialty set! San Diego Comic-Con is just weeks away so a lot of companies are holding back most of their biggest reveals, but there is still plenty of awesome stuff to see in the Toy News for the week of May 21st, 2019!
LEGO Is Putting Together Something Strange
This summer the team at LEGO have some truly ‘Stranger Things’ planned for all you LEGO-Maniacs out there; literally! Their newest specialty LEGO set ‘The Upside Down’ is based on the Netflix original science fiction series ‘Stranger Things’ and brings us the Byers house straight from the show! It even properly flips upside down to give us the full ‘Stranger Things’ Upside Down experience! The new LEGO ‘Stranger Things: Upside Down’ playset is jam-packed with little details from the show amongst its 2287 pieces, and even includes 8 LEGO Minifigures of some of your favorite ‘Stranger Things’ characters like Eleven, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Joyce, Hopper, and of course The Demogorgon!
