“We’re In The Endgame Now”

While no official images have been released yet, this week Hasbro has revealed the full wave lineup for their upcoming ‘Avengers’ themed wave of Marvel Legends 6″ scale figures! As per usual, the wave is a blend of movie styled and comic styled figures. This particular assortment gives us Ebony Maw from last year’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, plus Captain America and Ronin (aka Hawkeye) from ‘Avengers: Endgame’, plus comic styled figures of Citizen V, Hercules, Nighthawk, and The Living Laser! If you collect the entire wave, you’ll be able to build your very own Armored Thanos figure from ‘Avengers: Endgame’!

Up Up And Away

The CW’s live-action television series adaptations of various DC Comics characters seem to be showing no signs of slowing down. Even with ‘Arrow’, the original CW DC Comics adaptation, coming to an end later this year, the  universe the show spawned is only getting bigger and better. This is why it’s exciting to see that Star Ace Toys is continuing their line of 1:8 scale figures based on the ‘Arrowverse’ with an all new figure of Supergirl from her own self titled series. Supergirl will stand approximately 8.9″ tall and boasts over 26 points of articulation for maximum poseability. Supergirl includes several sets of alternative hands, Kryptonite handcuffs, an orange crystal, and a special display stand. She is anticipated to release in the second quarter of 2019 for around $139.99.

The Funko Forecast

Get ready for the Funko Forecast! This is where we’re going to be showcasing all of the cool new announcements and reveals from Funko! With all of the awesome that consistently seems to be flowing out of those guys, it shouldn’t be hard to keep this section alive each and every week!

Gotta Catch ‘Em All

When Funko released a POP! Vinyl of Pikachu last summer, we all feared that it was only the beginning of Funko’s relationship with Nintendo’s long running ‘Pokemon’ franchise. It would appear that many of our greatest fears are coming true, as Funko has announced yet another Pokemon POP! Vinyl that is coming our way soon. Following the recently released Bulbasaur, we have Charmander set to release later this spring in May 2019! We’re hoping Funko keeps up this rate of releases for the ‘Pokemon’ license, and that they actually follow through with making a rather extensive number of them. While there are over eight-hundred of them these days, many fans are hoping that they at least release the original one-hundred-and-fifty Pokemon as POP! Vinyls. Stay tuned for more updates!

Higher, Further, Funko

Marvel Studio’s ‘Captain Marvel’ is currently dominating the box office worldwide and with good reason! The film is a ton of fun and brings us a 90’s period piece as the latest chapter in the long running Marvel Cinematic Universe. The team at Funko seem to be pretty excited about the recently released live action comic book adaptation, and are bringing collectors a few additional POP! Vinyls to the ‘Captain Marvel’ line to celebrate the film’s success! The latest items to join the line are quite spoilery, so if you haven’t seen the film yet and don’t want it to be ruined for you, we’ve saved this for last so you can turn back now and we will see you next week!

Still here? Okay cool! So the latest additions to the line feature some very heavy spoilers for the third act of the film, so if you enjoyed the movie (which most people seem to have done), these will be right up your alley! Coming later this spring are all new POP! Vinyls of Captain Marvel (with Lunchbox) and Goose The Cat showing her full Flerkin form! There will also be a 1/6 rarity Chase variant of Goose where she is only half-transformed. There will also be a Funko Specialty Series POP! Vinyl of Ronan The Accuser based on his appearance in the film hitting small retailer stores this spring!
