While the first episode of ‘Titans’ made an effort of at least touch bases with its four stars, the second only followed the journey of Dick Grayson/Robin (Brenton Thwaites) and Rachel Roth/Raven (Teagan Croft).  Granted, fans were introduced to Hawk & Dove (Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly), but Starfire (Anna Diop) and Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) were nowhere to be seen.

But this is a journey and it appears that the third episode will finally bring the series’ major characters together.  New photos have been released from the upcoming installment, entitled ‘Origins’, and we see Dick and Kory together.  We know that although Kory is suffering severe memory loss, she was, for some reason, seeking Raven.  In the photos, we see her and Dick comparing notes, in an office with various photos, maps and newspaper clippings.  Since Dick is shown taking a picture with his phone, it isn’t likely that this office belongs to either of them.

Elsewhere, we see Starfire and Raven bonding, which we got a glimpse of in the trailers leading up to this show’s premier.  And if that wasn’t enough, we also get a look at the meet-cute between Raven and Beast Boy, as they bond over a game of ‘Twilight Zone’ pinball.

Elsewhere, the Nuclear Family continues to stalk the heroes.  Jeff Clarke, Melody Johnson, Jeni Ross, and Logan Thompson star as Nuclear Dad, Nuclear Mom, Nuclear Sis and Nuclear Biff.  In the comics, these characters were atomic powered robots, but here they are sinister sleeper agents, who masqueraded as an anachronistic ’50s era family, until they were “activated” in episode two.

At New York Comic Con, Croft discussed playing Raven, stating:

“It’s been really interesting because she’s so lost and so helpless and I feel like a lot of teenagers and people can relate to that, as in they don’t really know who they are, they don’t know what’s happening.  But at the same time, she’s also so dark and deep and evil. She’s got this evil side to her which was fun to play because I’m not like that in real life…It was like being somebody different for nine months, which was fun.”

Are you enjoying ‘Titans’?  The series is available to stream with new episodes arriving each Friday on DC Universe.
