Star Wars

As most collectors already know, there is certainly no shortage of awesome merchandise on the market based on the highly popular ‘Star Wars’ franchise. Between figures, playsets, vehicles, and prop replicas, Hasbro has made sure to keep their ‘Star Wars’ fan base quite well fed over the years. So why should this year be any different? This week at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Hasbro announced a variety of new ‘Star Wars’ collectibles that will be hitting the shelves later this year that are sure to keep fans excited about revisiting some of their favorite characters from all throughout the vast ‘Star Wars’ saga.

We’re going to start things off simple and move onto the bigger fancier stuff a bit later; suffice to say that everything here is awesome. The first thing Hasbro is showcasing are the new additions to their simpler ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ assortment of 3.75″ figures! This line is the more kid-friendly batch of lightly articulated figures. The newest additions to the line include Mudtrooper Han Solo, Tobias Beckett, Val, Rio Durant, L3-37, and Quay Tolsite! They have also announced two all new scaled play-sets based on some of the pivotal moments in the recently released film! The two playsets are based on Vandor and the Kessel Run Mine.

Next, we’ve got a number of new fan favorite characters being added to the recently relaunched 3.75″ ‘Star Wars: The Vintage Collection’! This line is aimed towards collectors and gives us highly detailed sculpts and a healthy amount of articulation, as well as vintage style packaging. The newest additions to the ‘Star Wars: The Vintage Collection’ include characters from ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’, ‘Rogue One’ and a number of fan favorites from the sequel trilogy and even the now ‘Legends’ Expanded Universe! New characters coming to the line include Enfys Nest, Death Star Dunner, Elite Praetorian Guard, Imperial Stormtrooper, Darth Revan, Lando Calrissian (‘Solo’), and a Scarif Stormtrooper! There will also be a deluxe Tie Fighter vehicle with Pilot.

And finally, we come to the 6″ scale “Star Wars: The Black Series’! This line is highly popular among collectors and is still considered the ‘youngest’ scale of figures for the ‘Star Wars’ brand. This line has a couple of surprises to it, with a solid selection of new figures being announced, as well as the reveal of several of the lines older and harder to find figures receiving a reissue to give collectors another chance at them!

Fans can anticipate a variety of figures from all throughout the ‘Star Wars’ saga, even two more figures to help round out the cast of the recently ended ‘Star Wars: Rebels’ television series! New figures coming to the line include ‘Battle Damaged’ Captain Phasma, Chopper, Cronos, Ezra Bridger, General Veers Imperial Patrol Trooper, and ‘Bespin’ Princess Leia!
