The Super Bowl may be the big game, but not bigger than the dinosaurs from ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’!
The film takes place a few years after ‘Jurassic World’ left off but this time Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) need to return to Isla Nublar to save the dinosaurs that were left on the island and are now in danger from a volcanic eruption. The trailer teases a lot of action and… a new kind of dinosaur!
Although Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly (who wrote the script for ‘Jurassic World’) return as scribes for the sequel, it will be interesting to see how J.A. Bayona follows with his helming style after Trevorrow’s work did so well at the box office. While Bayona is more known for his darker works such as Showtime’s ‘Penny Dreadful’ and the film ‘A Monster Calls,’ he does do a great job in hyping up the thrills, if the trailer is anything to go by. According to Pratt:
“I think it’s going to be a scarier version. A little bit darker and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn’t have imagined.”
Check it out below followed by the full synopsis for the film:
It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by
dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving
dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire
(Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this
extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing
in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission.
Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a
conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and
successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite
