the tick

For everyone who started watching ‘The Tick’ on Amazon this past August and was disappointed when it only ran for 6 episodes (especially after they made us wait so long for the series after the pilot aired), have no fear! More episodes will soon be here (well by here, I mean on Amazon Video). The exact launch date is actually February 23, and it appears the show is really ramping up the action in the back half of the season, especially now that the trailer reveals that the Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) was proved correct in his belief that the Terror (Jackie Earle Haley) is still alive.

Joining him as he gathers his allies to face the return of this threat is his ever present side-kick Arthur (Griffin Newman), as well as Overkill (Scott Speiser), Tinfoil Kevin (Devin Ratray), Superian (Brendan Hines), Midnight (voiced by Townsend Coleman), Dangerboat (voiced by Alan Tudyk), and Dot (Valerie Curry). Also present is Miss Lint (Yara Martinez) who is sure to mix things up with the heroes even more than the limited sightings we have of her in the trailer.

The trailer itself shows off the series in all of its goofy, action-hero-mayhem greatness, with the Terror 2.0 bringing his reign of villainy to the city while the Tick rallies all to stand against him. Memorable shots include the Tick being launched across town missile style, Overkill reuniting with his favorite gun, Shakira, Tick and his spoon, Arthur making a flying save, giant (like massive) feet marching across a field, and probably the weird/funniest line of the trailer, the Tick being convinced that the Terror will next send mummies to kill them all. Check it out for yourself below, and feel free to share your thoughts on the new trailer in the comments section!
