With principal photography having kicked off on ‘Good Omens‘ we finally have our first shot of both David Tennant and Michael Sheen in costume for the series! Playing the parts of the demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale respectively, these two actors will embark upon a 6-part mini-series which is at the top of my list to check out and is a cult classic among fans of both Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
Amazon and BBC at the very least seem to have the suits right for this unlikely pair of friends and I can’t wait to see more as the series comes to fruition.
First up, we have a great full shot of the pair thanks to Neil Gaiman himself!
They are amazing. This is them in the opening scenes, 11 years ago, in St James’s Park. David and Michael, demon & angel. #GoodOmens pic.twitter.com/ceK4XYY881

For those unfamiliar with the novel, the “11 years” which is referred to here is likely when the show begins. The Antichrist is born and pretty much we flash forward about 11 years almost instantly to where things really kick off. It follows the Angel and Demon who have decided that they quite like their lives on Earth and attempt to thwart the rise of the Antichrist and end life as they know it.
The late Terry Pratchett’s account also was able to share a behind-the-scene photo of the director working with Gaiman on set!
So this would be our director @drmuig directing @neilhimself. pic.twitter.com/LJy4zxZ3iq

This is a series which will have a slew of fans prepared to binge watch on the day of release. One of the funniest looks at the end of the world ever written, I’m just curious how they’ll work in all of the footnotes from the book into showing up on screen.
